New Sunday Miniseries at Mother Lode Church!

The Discovery Channel has a show called: “How It’s Made.”

Here’s their advertising pitch: “People are fascinated with how things work. From incredibly high-tech items like plasma TV’s to remarkably mundane objects that we use every day—toilets, Kleenex, toothpaste—every object has a story and an incredible process behind it.”

When it comes to How It’s Made, we’ve all seen those ominous words,

“Some assembly required.”

But most of us (men, at least) toss the instructions away thinking, “I can figure this out” and plunge right in!

Marriage should come with the label:

Much assembly required!

It takes a lifetime of work to put it together the right way. There is truth in this little pearl of wisdom:

“Love is blind, but marriage is an eye-opener!”

For the month of February, we will be focusing on marriage and family, discovering principles from the Bible for building a marriage that honors God and brings lasting joy. Sinners and Saints are all welcome!
