Pastor / Youth & Family Life

Pastor Chris Whited grew up in the small town of Juneau, WI. After experiencing a devastating car accident, Chris began attending a small church, “Bible Baptist Church of Beaver Dam”, that was instrumental in sending him to summer camp. That is where he understood God’s incredible love for him and accepted Christ as savior at the age of fifteen. Chris was invited to share his testimony at the camp the very next year and through that experience was drawn to follow after God in full time ministry.

Chris’ family moved to Arizona a year later where he finished high school in Tucson and began attending Central Arizona College in Casa Grande. In 1995 he transferred to International Baptist College to pursue youth ministry as a degree. After taking a hiatus from the college in 1996, Chris married his wife, Nila and they began their family. They have three children, Micah born in 1997, Marita born in 2000, and Lilly born in 2004. Chris then completed his degree and graduated in 2004.

During the six years away from the college, Chris volunteered with various churches as a youth director. After completing his degree, he then spent a couple of years in Colorado volunteering as an interim pastor as well as youth pastor before coming to Mother Lode Church in the fall of 2008.

Chris has a great desire to see the youth that the Lord has entrusted to him, take ownership of their faith and grow in maturity in their relationship to Christ.

Chris is active in the local schools by coaching and speaking. He desires to see teens become active members within the body of Christ, (The Church) and also truly impact their community with God’s love.
