Pastor/Teacher

Pastor Ed Kennedy has been at Mother Lode Church since September 1999. Prior to coming to Mother Lode Church, he served as a Missionary with American Mission Fellowship to El Dorado County and surrounding areas. Ed, Kelly, and their two children have lived in the community since1990.

Ed is a graduate of Faith Baptist Theological Seminary in Iowa, where he earned his M.A. in Theology. Ed is very active in the local community. He has coached Jr. High football & Little League, has been on the coaching staff of Golden Sierra High School since 1993 as assistant and head wrestling coach. He also serves on the board of Forward Bible Camp (a local youth camp), Rock-N-Water (a local outdoor adventure camp) and The Sierra Law Enforcement Chaplaincy.

Ed has a love for God and His Word that started as a young child growing up in a pastor’s home and has grown as the years have passed. He loves to share the Word of God in a way that is real, life-transforming and true to the unchanging nature of God's Word.
