PURPOSE:

Small Group Ministries serve to nourish, edify and teach church members through prayer, worship, fellowship and study in a small group setting.

The weekly Sunday service cannot fill all the needs of a growing Christian, nor is it meant too. We all need additional time to share The Word with fellow believers. Sharing our thoughts, our needs and our prayers with Christians of Mother Lode Church allows the Lord to do His work and the body to grow. Jesus made the promise to be where we gather in His name. This is not the same as the time you spend with Him alone, but is just as important. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)

Small Group Ministries is designed for your specific needs. You study areas in which you need education, you pray with Christians for needs, you care for others and love them as Christ loves His church. You (the group) pick the time, the place and the topic. A small group is the right place to find the part of your Christian walk that is missing. There are several small groups meeting in various communities around MLC. They range from “First Light” groups (short morning meetings for coffee and prayer) to Bible studies (digging deep into God’s word for His direction).
