OUR VISION:

  • Excite children about the love of Jesus Christ.
  • Bring children to an ever-deepening relationship with Our Savior.
  • Encourage children to form strong relationships with church family peers.
  • Help children foster foundations of a Christian life.

“And he answered and said, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself…Do this and you will live.’ ” Luke 10: 27-28


OUR PURPOSE:

Meet children where they are with God’s love and compassion.

Faithfully teach them:

  • To see the richness of God’s word.
  • To love God with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind
  • To abide by God’s principles and expectations.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

We have many talented, caring, dedicated, servants of God implementing the many aspects of our Children’s Sunday morning program. This ministry serves infants through adolescents and offers a complete program at both Sunday services. Children’s Church begins in the classroom portable with thirty minutes of music, prayer, games, puppetry, and skits. Following this worship time children break up into small grade level groups and enjoy exciting biblical lessons and life application activities from our Gospel Light Curriculum. On the first Sunday of each month the children sing for the congregation and participate in communion with their families.


CURRICULUM FOCUS

Early Childhood: Know that God loves and cares for us; that God sent Jesus to show His love for us; that God’s Word helps us learn about the greatness and goodness of God and the Lord Jesus.
Primary: Know that God loves and cares for us; that God wants our obedience.
Middler: Know that God loves and helps us and has a plan for us; that God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus, to be our Savior.
Junior: Know that God wants us to trust, love and obey Him; that God can help us grow in Christian maturity.

OUTREACH EVENTS

Special activities planned for the children of our church and community.

  • Jump for Joy Easter Celebration: An Easter morning program during both services.
  • Vacation Bible School: An early summer week long, high energy, event for all kids!
  • Happy Birthday Jesus Party: A celebration for children the Sunday before Christmas.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20


VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

  • A member or have attended Mother Lode Church for a minimum of six months.
  • A completed confidential application on file.
  • A heart for children
